Pop-up
Stopper Interference
Sometimes
Popup-killer applications will interfere with streaming media play.
Pop-up-Stopper or Google Toolbar's Pop-up Blocker may need to be disabled
in rare cases.
Multiple
Sound File Player Errors / File Will Not Play Errors
If you
have more than one media player capable of handling Windows Media
Files installed on your system (e.g. Windows Media Player as well
as WinAmp, etc.) you may have configuration conflicts on File Types
and Associated Players. We have seen this occur most frequently when
you have Internet Explorer 6 for Windows and Windows Media Player
9 Series loaded on your PC. Other browsers seem to work around this
issue. The indicator of this problem is an error message when you
click on a link to stream one of the Windows Media files on our site.
The most
common error message says:

If you
click on "More Information" you may get an
error message similar to this:
"0xC00D1199:
Cannot play the file"
To fix
this error, Launch Windows Media Player 9 series for Windows.
- From
the top menu in Full Mode View, select Tools, then
Options
- Select
the File Types tab.
- Make
sure that the following types are selected (really selected [not
grayed] and checked)
- Windows
Media File (asf)
- Windows
Media Audio File (wma)
- Windows
Media Video File (wmv)
Your
selected options should look like the image below.
(The Movie File - MPEG option is an example of what it should NOT
look like.)

The incomplete
selection of file associations seems most likely to occur when
multiple media players capable of playing Windows Media
files
are loaded on your system. (e.g. Windows Media Player AND WinAmp.)
