Heresy?! Is this just our opinion?

Recently we received the following messages from people who used to be personally involved in the word-of-faith movement:

Hi:
I read your beliefs on the Word of Faith. I am of course going to research it further simply because you said to not take anyone's word without taking it up alongside the Scripture. Yet, I have to say it gives me relief to have read this. I have been involved with WOF, sort of - Never too much because having been a New Age girl before Jesus, a lot of what WOF has taught sounded like it is all about "what I can do" and nothing about "what God can do."
I just wanted to thank you for this teaching cause it is stretching my thinking. I didn't like ignoring symptoms because... I felt it was lying, and I didn't like feeling like God "owed me" if I mantra'd His word enough. I also didn't like thinking that the devil was after me every time something went wrong in my life. I think your teaching has given me my Jesus Christ back.

I was involved in the "faith" movement for years. I never felt comfortable but stayed anyway. I saw many unacceptable practices and saw many lives destroyed. Through prayer and the help of friends I was able to escape completely. Unfortunately, several of my family members are still involved in this occult practice and it has torn our family apart... I want to send (your books) to members of my family...

I just found your site and I want to commend you on your endeavor to educate Christians and make them aware of the hedonistic views of "word faith" ... I don't believe the people who attend those churches know that they are bound up in an enormous work of the flesh, I went to one for 2 years and all I knew was excitement! I didn't know I was hearing heretical false teachings twice a week. I submit to you that the word faith churches are using their people as a means for financial gain. I believe half of every word-faith church would empty out if the people knew that the controversial corrupt gospel they were getting would inevitably send them to hell... Your loving yet confrontational style of communication is a gift, given by God to lovingly rattle some cages...
